Merchant (buchhändler) Lorentz Jauch from Lübeck establishes a paper mill on the banks of Härjapea river
1822

F. W. Wistinghausen from Peterhof buys the plot of the old paper mill along with the dilapidated buildings. Until 1893 the complex is called ÜLEMISTE PAPER FACTORY

The factory was nationalized. Under the Soviet occupation, it continued to operate under the name: Viktor Kingisseppa nimeline tselluloosi- ja paberikombinaat
1992
The enterprise ceases to operate
The complex is turned into a pulp/cellulose factory and renamed the Pulp Factory of Ernst Osse & Co
The factory gets a new leader - entrepreneur and sailor Emil Fahle. Today the whole factory district still bears his name.

The pulp mill receives permission to establish a paper department - Põhja Paper and Pulp Factory




1912-13
The development of the new ensembles is led by architect Jaques Rosenbaum. He designed several art nouveau style buildings - gate house, boundary walls, wood workshop etc.

Completion of the 65.5 metre long chimney made out of clinker bricks. In 1970, it was lowered by 20 metres so it wouldnt get in the way of airplanes.
Completion of art-nouveau style central heating station of the factory.
